Study shows Midwestern earthquake could cause significant damage

Never mind California, the Midwest is next in line for serious earthquake damage, according to a new study by the Mid-America Earthquake Center (MAEC).
 
The study, funded by the Federal Emergency Management Association (FEMA), showed that a major Midwestern earthquake could cause as many as 6,000 deaths and $450 billion in damages, while also disrupting oil and gas supplies.
