Editor's note: The following is an edited Q&A from the Joint Commission webinar, "SOC™ process changes effective August 1." The webcast focused on several key changes to the Statements of Conditions (SOC), including replacing Plans for Improvement (PFI) with Requirements for Improvement (RFI), replacing time extensions with time-limited waivers (TLW), and equivalencies.
