Free webinar focuses on protecting clinicians from hazardous drug exposures

OSHA Healthcare Connection, April 17, 2012

Despite guidelines issued by OSHA, NIOSH, many healthcare workers are unaware of the risks they face when handling chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs in the workplace, such as connecting syringes to injection ports, transferring drugs between containers, or spiking IV containers.

In recognition of Safe Handling Awareness Day, April 20, BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) is offering a free CE-accredited webinar to provide healthcare workers education on the U.S. guidelines and safety measures that can be taken to prevent hazardous drug exposure.
