What are the most frequent violations found by OSHA during physician practice inspections?

By far the most frequent violations in 2008 for offices and clinics of doctors of medicine were:

  • Bloodborne pathogens
  • Hazard communication

 Also issued were violations for:

  • Electrical general requirements
  • Wiring methods, components, and equipment for general use.
  • Portable fire extinguishers
  • Exit routes
  • Personal protective equipment for eye and face protection
