Recommendations for a system for tracking patients in evacuation

Emergency Management Alert, March 3, 2009

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality has posted a new report on recommendations for a national mass patient and evacuee movement, regulating, and tracking system.

The recommendations are offered in a new study to assist in developing a system that could be used during a mass casualty or evacuation to locate, track, and regulate patients and other evacuees. The recommendations can help leaders and organizations responsible for patient and evacuee movement, healthcare and transportation resource allocation, and incident management. You can read more on the agency’s Web site.
