Q&A: Annual electrical inspection

OSHA Healthcare Connection, February 10, 2009

A: Federal OSHA does not require an annual electrical inspection. You might want to check on local ordinances, just to be sure.

The OSHA Regulatory Manual for Healthcare contains a chapter on OSHA electrical standards, including a self-inspection checklist that you should review at least once a year. That's a suggestion, not a requirement. Download the checklist from the Tools page of the OSHA Healthcare Advisor.
