ACGME-accredited programs are required to establish clinical competency committees (CCC) to evaluate their residents. However, a lack of guidance early on left some programs struggling to form their CCCs and run meetings. Patricia Braund, C-TAGME, has been the coordinator for the pathology program at the University of Colorado School of Medicine for more than 10 years and was present at the meetings that were held to create the school’s CCCs when they became a requirement during the 2014–2015 academic year. She has maintained an active role with the pathology program’s CCC by collecting, organizing, preparing, and distributing the data for the committee, as well as scheduling its meetings and taking minutes.
