According to the latest Resident Lifestyle and Happiness Report by Medscape, nearly two-thirds of residents occasionally have doubts about being a good physician. Although this number remained steady from 2015, the number of residents who reported having doubts most or all of the time doubled. The report, based on survey results from nearly 1,900 residents across 25 specialties, found that residents who reported having doubts all the time increased from 3% to 7% from last year. Those who reported having doubts most of the time also doubled from 9% to 18%. As expected, the percentage of respondents who reported never having doubts decreased from 20% to 11%.
