A fourth-year neurology resident at Jackson Health System in Miami has been placed on administrative leave after a video surfaced online of her arguing with and attempting to hit an Uber driver in downtown Miami.
Anjali Ramkissoon, MD, can be seen in the video having the altercation after trying to get into an Uber car she didn’t order. The video was taken by the customer who actually ordered the Uber car and posted on Youtube. The Uber driver did not press charges but Jackson Health System is conducting an internal investigation to determine if disciplinary action is needed.
Ramkissoon has publically apologized for her behavior and said she was under stress because her father had been admitted to the hospital that day and she had just broken up with her boyfriend.
