New medical school hopes to bring more physicians to southern Nevada

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval signed a bill this week authorizing $27 million to launch a new medical school at the University of Las Vegas. The new medical school is expected to begin accepting students in 2017. The hope is that the new medical school, along with efforts to develop more residency programs, will encourage more physicians to stay and practice in southern Nevada.
