New residency positions approved for North Carolina hospitals

In a partnership with several North Carolina hospitals, Campbell University’s Jerry M. Wallace School of Osteopathic Medicine has received approval for 72 new residency positions. The new residency slots brings the school’s total to 144.
 
Half of the new positions will be for traditional rotating internships at Southeastern Health, Sampson Regional Medical Center, and Harnett Health. The remaining positions with be for family medicine residency programs at Sampson and Novant Health Huntersville Medical Center. The AOA has given full accreditation to all of the programs.
