Dear readers,
This week’s edition of Residency Program Insider features an article about the mistreatment of medical students, which ties in nicely with the blog post I quoted in “Heard this week.” Together they paint an unflattering portrait of the current state of medical education.
I won’t go as far as the author of this article, who calls out “ego deficient superiors,” but there does seem to be a problem. I have no authority to even float out an idea of how to fix this, but you do. I’d be interested in knowing what, if anything, your organizations are doing to prevent mistreatment. Let me know.
Thanks for reading!
