New program coordinators can learn more about accreditation requirements as part of a new workshop the ACGME is launching in July.
The day-long workshop, aimed at coordinators with two or fewer years of experience, will give participants basic information about the ACGME, accreditation requirements, and Residency Review Committees. The ACGME plans to host several new coordinator workshops at its Chicago headquarters.
The ACGME also announced a six-day course to help programs improve faculty members’ abilities to assess trainees, an important skill under the ACGME’s Next Accreditation System. The course, which is open to program directors and faculty members, will be held at the ACGME’s headquarters in October and November.
