Residency applicants will be eagerly waiting for the 2014 Match Day results, which the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP) will release at 1 p.m. Eastern Time today.
Then they’ll be snapping selfies, posting to Facebook, and Tweeting.
The NRMP has developed a strong social media presence, encouraging applicants to interact with the program through Facebook and Twitter. Some medical schools have posted videos of celebrations from previous years and music playlists counting down to Match Day.
You can see how medical students around the country are celebrating by searching for #match2014 and #imatched on Twitter, or following the NRMP, which uses the Twitter handle @theNRMP.
We’ll share more details about the 2014 Match Day results in next week’s issue of Residency Program Insider.
