The ACGME recently posted three new webinars about the Next Accreditation System (NAS) on its website.
The webinars, all titled “Practical Advice for Coordinators Regarding the NAS, Milestones Reporting, and the Clinical Competency Committee,” are organized by specialty:
• Emergency Medicine, Diagnostic Radiology, and Urology
• Orthopaedic Surgery and Neurological Surgery
• Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
Programs in the seven specialties in the first phase of the NAS will begin reporting milestone in late 2013 or in 2014. The webinar provides information for each specialty as well as screen shots of milestone reporting forms in the ACGME Accreditation Data System.
