The 2012 HCPro residency coordinator salary survey asked hundreds of coordinators if their pay increased, decreased, or stayed the same over the last 18 months. Only 16 indicated an official decrease in pay, with an additional 131 selecting “N/A” for no change in pay.

This makes 27% of respondents indicating no pay raise whatsoever in the past 18 months. The top response given for those who received a raise was “performance-related review” at 26%, followed by “annual/contractual raise” at 22%.

The most significant responses following these include:
  • Cost of living increase- 9%
  • Change in job title- 6%
  • Promotion- 4%
  • Change in hourly/salaried status- 3%

The top response given amongst respondents with a decrease in pay during the past 18 months was across-the-program/fellowship reductions (seven responses out of 16).
