John Henning Schumann, MD, launched the start of a series of posts documenting a year’s worth of emotion, observations, and clinical insight at an internal medicine residency program. Schumann is a writer who also runs the program at the University of Oklahoma School of Community Medicine, according to the first series post on the website, theatlantic.com.

The posts will follow his first-person account over an entire year. The post series will document the residency’s “interns,” their journey, and looks at how these residents are trained.
