In a survey HCPro conducted of residency coordinators, about 66% reported working more than the typical 40-hour work week. Almost 13% of the 562 coordinators to take the survey said, on average, they worked over the 50-hour threshold.

The most common hour range chosen was the 41 -- 45-hours per week choice (38%). Thirteen respondents claim an average workweek that exceeds 70 hours.

Thank you to all who participated in the survey! Stay tuned for more statistics in Residency Program Connection, our Residency Manager blog, and a full breakdown in the upcoming issue of Residency Program Alert.
