A pediatric resident at Northwestern University in Chicago may have spread tuberculosis to as many as 150 patients and 300 hospital employees across three hospitals, according to The Daily Northwestern.

Hospital officials say the resident most likely became infected with the disease between the time of the resident’s annual health exams.

Authorities contacted all patients who the resident may have exposed and offered a free skin test for the disease; no hospital employees have tested positive for tuberculosis, the article reports.
