Laboratory chemical hygiene: A quick guide

OSHA has once again published its list of its most-cited standards. This time, they discuss the 2019 heavy-hitters, and chemical management issues are again atop the list. Year after year, organizations are fined for incomplete management of their chemical hygiene program. Labs have it even harder—they must adhere to two sets of standards, the Hazard Communication standard and the Laboratory standard. That means labs must follow a great number of regulations, but they can accomplish this with the proper oversight.
