Zero harm study finds many struggling to achieve goal

Two million providers say they don't have the resources to achieve zero harm

While most medical professionals are familiar with the goal of achieving zero harm in healthcare, more than a tenth of them also say they don't have the tools and training to get there.
That's according to a study by The Joint Commission Center for Transforming Healthcare, a nonprofit affiliate of The Joint Commission specializing in high-reliability research and implementation. The study asked 1,050 healthcare professionals questions such as:
- How do you define zero harm?
- Is zero harm a goal of your facility?
- Is zero harm a goal for you personally?
