CMS offers last chance to sign up for ICD-10 end-to-end testing
Physician Practice Insider, April 7, 2015
Providers who want to volunteer to participate in CMS' final round of ICD-10 end-to-end testing have until April 17 to sign up through their Medicare Administrative Contractor's (MAC) website.
CMS is expected to choose approximately 850 volunteers for its third round of testing, which will take place July 20–24. Providers who have signed up for previous end-to-end testing weeks do not need to volunteer again and are encouraged to participate.
The first round of end-to-end testing took place from January 26–February 3 and CMS deemed it a success. Only 3% of submissions rejected due to invalid ICD-10 diagnosis or procedure codes. During end-to-end testing, CMS fully processes test claims and produces a Remittance Advice for volunteers.
A second week of testing will take place April 27–May 1. Testers have already been selected and have been notified of their involvement.
For more on CMS' testing and results—which includes ongoing acknowledgment testing to assess the claims submission process—and information for volunteers, listen to the recent ICD-10 National Provider Call.
