Last week we posted a new poll on www.StrategiesForNurseManagers.com asking about new graduate nurses who have been recently hired on your unit.
The overwhelming response is that new graduates are still settling in and have a long way to go before they feel like part of the unit. Ninety-two percent responded that their new graduate nurses still felt brand new. Five percent said they have a long way to go, but are starting to look less scared. And only 3% responded that they are starting to look and feel comfortable on the unit.
