In the news: NJ hospital accelerates towards MRP redesignation
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, July 30, 2010
Jersey City Medical Center is gearing up for redesignation through the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program (MRP) ® with its “Accelerating on the Road ... to Redesignation” program. The organization held an MRP fair recently this week for 275 employees—using visual boards, interactive games, hands-on learning and PowerPoint presentations, educators and clinical nurse leaders developed Magnet stations to talk about the latest programs and initiatives at the facility.
Presentations covered clinical practice activities related to five components of the new Magnet model: empirical outcomes; exemplary professional practice; transformational leadership; new knowledge, innovations and improvements; and structural empowerment.
