Inside the program: Leadership training
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, June 25, 2010
Embedded in your charge nurse orientation program should be leadership training initiatives. Leadership requires experience, time, and mentorship to develop to their fullest potential. But the basics should be present in the training and further enhanced over time through specialized courses, if available within your organization. Some of the most important leadership training elements that need to be present in your program are:
- Team building
- Team communication
- People management
- Conflict resolution
