In the news: Washington hospital receives MRP certification

Providence St. Peter Hospital of Olympia, WA, has joined an exclusive group of top hospitals by becoming ANCC Magnet Recognition Program® (MRP) certified. The organization announced its successful bid for MRP designation at the end of January.
Providence St. Peter became only the third hospital in Washington to become MRP certified. The hospital had been working on developing its case for designation for six years.
“It has been a privilege to represent our 877 nurses at [Providence St. Peter Hospital],” said Connie Huber, RN, vice president and chief nursing officer. “Every day they touch the hearts of our patients and our community with their skill and caring.” Providence St. Peter Hospital is a 390-bed nonprofit hospital, providing medical, surgical, and behavioral health services.
