Inside the program: Documentation should highlight recent nursing excellence
HCPro's Weekly Update on the ANCC Magnet Recognition Program®*, September 1, 2009
All narrative statements and exhibits (e.g., meeting minutes, policies, procedures, and reports) used to support the sources of evidence under each of the 5 Model Components should reflect the 24 months immediately preceding document submission, unless otherwise specified.
However, if the organization and its staff made a significant contribution to professional nursing practice or the local community during a timeframe greater than 24 months, this information could be used in the written document to show trends or highlight long-term projects.
