Dementia-friendly community movement gaining momentum

The aim of the dementia-friendly community movement is to support dementia residents in living a more independent, less-stigmatized, lifestyle. In such a community, all sectors of the community are prepared and equipped to support people living with dementia and their care partners, Dementia Friendly America (DFA). The DF movement relies on collaboration of diverse community partners, which includes: LeadingAge, AARP, the Alzheimer’s Association and many other organizations.
