On February 28, the new Notice of Medicare Non-Coverage (NOMNC) form went into effect. The NOMNC (see p. 8), also known as CMS-10095, is used to notify Medicare Advantage (MA) beneficiaries that their coverage may be ending.

"What I like about the new form is that the process is explained in greater detail, which may decrease the amount of appeals," says Karen Connor, president and CEO of Connor LTC Consulting in Haverhill, MA. "With the added detail, the letter can be read more easily for a better understanding of the process."
