MGMA kicks off National Medical Group Practice Week

Physician Practice Advisor, January 25, 2006

Medical groups throughout the nation celebrated the third annual National Medical Group Practice Week, January 23-27, according to a press release by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA). MGMA created the observance to "advance public and industry awareness of the key benefits that group practices provide patients, communities, and physicians, and to recognize the professionals who lead and manage these organizations."

"Renewing our Mission to Quality Patient Care," was the theme for the 2006 National Medical Group Practice Week, which kicked off Monday by offering a free Webcast to MGMA members.

MGMA estimates that more than 2,000 individuals attended the Webcast at more than 300 sites around the nation. National Medical Group Practice Week occurs annually during the fourth week in January.
