Each year prior to the ACDIS Annual Conference, the event starts a few days early for those who attend our special pre-conference events. This year, at the 9th annual ACDIS Conference in Atlanta, at the Georgia World Congress Center, we’ll have three exciting pre-con options that will help you get even more out of your conference experience. Call Customer Service at 1-800-650-6787 to learn more.
Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI Boot Camp:The Physician Advisor’s Role in CDI Boot Camp returns the conference fully updated for ICD-10 and changing healthcare regulations, and with a new breakout option on its second day.
The first day, presented by James S. Kennedy, MD, CCS, CDIP, features a regulatory and coding update, where participants explore and manage clinical documentation integrity (CDI) opportunities.
The second day offers participants a choice of two tracks: Physician Advisor 101: Core Skills and Responsibilities, presented by Trey La Charité, MD; and Exploring the Physician Advisor Role at Vidant Health and Franciscan Alliance, presented by Don Butler, RN, BSN, Ven Mothkur, MD, MBA, LSSBB, Vaughn Matacale, MD, and Tracy Eskra, MD, MBA, CPE.
CDI for Quality Boot Camp: As CMS moves to a “pay-for-quality” system and hospitals face shrinking profit margins tied to quality of service, CDI specialists are being asked to expand beyond traditional MS-DRG review. The CDI for Quality Boot Camp—Special 2-Day Edition shows you the additional ways CDI efforts can affect incremental revenue and the reported data that influences an organization’s reputation.
Walk away with ready-to-implement strategies for achieving accurate quality indicators and optimal reimbursement under a variety of CMS quality programs, as well as knowledge of how documentation and code assignment affect the revenue cycle.
Building a Best Practice CDI Team:In a best practice CDI program, the physician advisor and CDI team members have a strong collaborative relationship, everyone’s time is used wisely and effectively, and the medical staff is engaged and cooperative.
Join Richard Pinson and Cynthia Tang, CDI specialists and authors of the authoritative, best-selling CDI Pocket Guide, for Building a Best Practice CDI Team, a two-day program where physician advisors and their CDI team members learn together the keys to success. Each participant receives a copy of the 2016 CDI Pocket Guide, which serves as the training manual and can be used as a daily resource. A library of physician query templates and sample CDI performance measures and reports will also be provided. This program is intended to get your entire CDI team together on the same page, so ask for special pricing.
