News: Time to submit your nominations for the ACDIS Achievement Awards

ACDIS has made some significant changes to our annual ACDIS Achievement Awards, to be awarded at the ninth annual ACDIS Conference, May 23-26, 2016 in Atlanta. We will be accepting nominations in the following categories:

- CDI Professional of the Year: This awardrecognizes an individual who stands out as a consummate representative of the best attributes of a CDI professional. Must have at least five years as a CDI professional at the time of their nomination.
- Recognition of CDI Professional Achievement. This award recognizes an individual who has made significant achievements as a CDI professional in their facility or within their broader organization. Must have at least two years as a CDI professional at the time of their nomination.
- Excellence in Provider Engagement: This award recognizes an individual who has made a substantive difference within their organization, or on the broader CDI/HIM/coding community, through enhancing medical staff understanding, collaboration, and engagement. Candidates include physician advisors, including advanced practice providers and foreign medical graduates in an advisor role. Other roles and professional backgrounds such as quality, administration, CDI/coding educator, or leadership positions will also be considered. Must have two or more years of experience in this role at the time of their nomination.
- Rookie of the Year: This award recognizes an individual who has served in the CDI profession less than two years from the time of his or her nomination, but has made a significant contribution in that time frame.
If you know a colleague who has made significant contributions to the CDI field, who makes a difference in the profession, or is an outspoken advocate of CDI, please let us know. ACDIS will soon be accepting nominations for the prestigious ACDIS Achievement Awards.
Winners will be honored with an award and recognition during the annual ACDIS Annual Conference. All nominations will be reviewed and voted on by the ACDIS Conference Committee in conjunction with ACDIS administration.
