HCA West Florida seeks CDI specialists to join their recently expanded CDI program in their Trinity, Sarasota, Largo, Tampa, and Inverness locations. The CDI specialist will review the medical record concurrently, identify potential gaps in clinical documentation for inpatient and payer populations, and query physicians as needed. He or she will also be responsible for educating physicians and providers. The successful candidate may have either a registered nursing or coding background. Nursing candidates must have a bachelor’s degree, and 2-5 years critical care experience and acute inpatient experience is preferred. Coding candidates must have an RHIT or RHIA, 3-5 years of acute inpatient coding experience, and an ICD-10-trained CCS credential.
