Novant Health Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, seeks a CDI specialist to apply clinical and coding knowledge to evaluate clinical indicators, diagnoses, and treatment plans for assigned inpatients, and to identify potential gaps in physician documentation. Candidates will need to communicate with attending physicians and other providers to clarify existing documentation via concurrent query process; review targeted DRGs and mortality cases to optimize severity of illness/risk of mortality; assigns working MS-DRG and APR-DRG for all cases; develop and promote collaborative processes and strong working relationships with physicians and other healthcare professionals to accomplish program goals and ensure exceptional documentation.
