Four local chapter leaders joined ACDIS Director Brian Murphy on ACDIS Radio, December 4. During the half-hour session they discussed the important role local chapter involvement has played in their professional development and in networking and educational outreach of their members. Each individual had a different story to share and each chapter has a slightly different format and feel, but all these chapter leaders shared the same goal—sharing what they’ve learned about the profession and learning from others.
Local chapters depend on the involvement of its members, however. Many look to members as volunteer hosts, speakers, and even leaders to ensure that meetings run smoothly, and that no one individual is left alone to carry the burden for the collective. To learn more about how to get a chapter started in your region or what it takes to be a leader visit our chapter leadership toolkit page for information.
Following that ACDIS Radio session we heard from a number you seeking to become more involved, and so we look to you; if you’re interested in participating, leading, hosting, or speaking at an event in your area please answer this short survey, and watch your CDI career flourish.
