Maryland
The Maryland ACDIS Chapter meets Thursday, April 25, 1:30-3 p.m., at Maryland Hospital Association Conference Room in Elkridge. For information, contact Andrea Norris at anorris@uchs.org.
Oregon
ACDIS NW spring conference will be held Friday, May 16, 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at Sacred Heart Riverbend Annex in Springfield, Ore. Please bring copies of sample queries related to agenda topics to share and critique with participants.
Agenda includes:

- "Deciphering Sepsis," by Julie Hughes, MD, VP of Medical Affairs, Critical Care Hospitalist.
- "Behavioral Health Diagnoses: Bipolar disorder, Type 1 and Type 2; acute and chronic dementia; acute delirium; and major depressive disorders," by Russ Sampley, MD, Director of Inpatient Behavioral Health Services.

- HCPro/ACDIS Webinar: “Reducing the Fear of ICD 10 Cardiovascular Coding”
- "Dual Coding: DRG shifts, missing documentation, coding challenges," by Hollis Brown, RHIT, CCS, System Consultant/Revenue Integrity Department, Legacy Health. After almost a full year of dual coding on inpatient and outpatient accounts, Hollis will discuss the trends in DRG shifts, missing documentation, coding challenges with ICD-10.
- "Preparing for ICD-10," by Charonne Sutherland, RN, BSN, CHPN, CCDS, supervisor of clinical documentation, at St. Charles Medical Center; Wayne Johnson, RN, project director for ICD-10 implementation, at Sacred Heart Riverbend; and Linda Haynes, RHIT, CCDS, manager CDI, Legacy Health. A panel discussion on steps being used to educate physicians and implement ICD-10. Panel will share tips, hints and documents they are willing to provide to attendees and take questions/comments.

South Carolina
The South Carolina ACDIS Chapter meets Friday, May 30, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., at the Gazes Auditorium, Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) in Charleston.
