ACDIS membership includes the quarterly electronic newsletter CDI Journal. If you haven’t been keeping up with the Journal you’ve likely missed out on information regarding emerging trends and guidance from industry leaders.
In the past year, the Journal has published the joint ACDIS/AHIMA physician query practice brief, articles regarding the practice brief’s sample escalation policies, benchmarking reports regarding physician query practices and ICD-10 implementation, opinion papers from ACDIS Advisory Board members, and analysis of guidance from the AHA Coding Clinic for ICD-9-CM regarding application of coding rules for ICD-10.
The 26-page October edition of the Journal, includes new guidance from ACDIS regarding EHR implementation, expanding opportunities for CDI professionals in light of changing IPPS rules, and other informative articles. Here is the complete list with links:
