Q: Did CMS add any new HCPCS codes for drugs and biologicals for October under the OPPS?

A: Yes, CMS added two new HCPCS codes:

  • C1204—Technetium Tc 99m tilmanocept, diagnostic, up to 0.5 millicuries, is assigned to APC 1463
  • C9132—Prothrombin complex concentrate (human) Kcentra, per i.u. of Factor IX activity, is assigned to APC 9132.

Both codes are assigned to status indicator G and are eligible for pass-through payment effective October 1, 2013.
