After hosting the first Clinical Documentation Improvement Week last year, the Association for Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialists (ACDIS) and the CDI Recognition Committee are back preparing for No. 2. This year CDI Week will take place September 16–22.
Last year’s theme was “Paving the Path (To an Accurate and Complete Health Record)”; this year the CDI Recognition Committee decided to emphasize the partnership with physicians that is so critical to the success and long-term survival of any CDI program. The committee developed the following slogan: “Physicians and CDI: Joining forces in clinical documentation excellence.”
