Pay-per-view: Reevaluate charge setting in light of 2012 OPPS final rule

Hospitals received a timely reminder about the importance of properly setting charges in CMS' 2012 OPPS final rule.

In the final rule, CMS finalized its plan to move CPT® code 77338 (Multi-leaf collimator [MLC] device[s] for intensity modulated radiation therapy [IMRT], design and construction per IMRT plan) to APC 0305 (Level II therapeutic radiation treatment preparation), which has a median cost of approximately $264.
