If your ICD-10-CM/PCS readiness plan consists of hoping that CMS will reschedule the go-live date for the new coding system-slated for October 1, 2013, count on being disappointed.

"The deadlines aren't changing," Karen Trudel, acting director of CMS' Office of E-health Standards and Services, said during the AHIMA ICD-10 Summit April 11–12 in Baltimore.
