A number of new tools and presentations have been posted to the ACDIS Forms & Tools Library recently. Tulane University Hospital and Clinic donated a PowerPoint presentation its CDI program provides to new hospitalists at the facility. The presentation provides an overview of CDI and tips on problematic diagnoses. Another presentation donated following a local chapter meeting targets toxic metabolic encephalopathy courtesy of John W. Melton, MD.  Finally, CDI Boot Camp Instructor Lynne Spryszak, RN, CCDS, CPC-A offers a sample chart review worksheet, that can be used to record notations and findings during daily chart review duties. There is also a new e-learning course The 2011 IPPS MS-DRG Update available to ACDIS members.

Nine states hold local networking meetings this month from Oregon to Ohio, California to Kentucky. Find out who is holding a meeting near you on the ACDIS Blog or visit the Local Chapter page on the ACDIS website to learn more.
Finally, ACDIS also announced the date of its next quarterly conference call, which will take place on Thursday, February 24, 1-2 p.m. Eastern. ACDIS members have received dial-in instructions via e-mail for the event.
