The correct answer is A. In May 1886, John Pemberton, a pharmacist from Atlanta, invented Coca-Cola®. He developed the formula in a three-legged brass kettle in his backyard. Another Atlanta pharmacist and businessman, Asa Candler, bought the formula for Coca-Cola for $2,300 in 1887 and incorporated the Coca-Cola Company.
