2010 CPT: Tumor excisions, facet joint injections among most significant changes

Coders will find more than 450 changes in the 2010 CPT Manual, with the most significant adjustments occurring in the musculoskeletal section.
 
The AMA added 225 codes for 2010, revised 155, and deleted 77. Approximately 40% of the changes occurred in Category II codes used to measure physician performance.
