President Obama recently signed into law the Innovation Act, which allows more people and providers to use the Programs of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE). Originally, PACE was designed for individuals over age 55 who needed the level of care a nursing home provides; the new legislation opens the program up to individuals over 21 who need the same level of care. The legislation also allows more providers to apply to provide PACE.
