CMS issues another six-month extension of targeted home health moratorium

CMS recently announced another six-month extension of its longstanding moratoria on newly enrolling home health agencies and ambulance suppliers in certain geographic regions that continue to show significant risk for fraud, waste, and abuse. Existing providers and suppliers can continue to deliver and bill for services, but no new provider and supplier applications will be approved in these areas.
