ICD-10 Coding Proficiency for Home Health: Coding Conventions and Structure - Part 1

During this 90-minute webcast, expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, will outline the structure of ICD-10 and break down the new code conventions and structure in an easy-to-understand way. Usher will explain General Equivalence Mappings (GEM), and discuss how they can be used to compare ICD-9 and ICD-10 data and ensure data consistency. This webcast will also discuss OASIS-C and OASIS-C1 and how they will be affected by ICD-10. After this introduction, Usher will dive into the intensive coding of common homecare diagnoses and explain the coding of fractures and the impact on OASIS data elements.

ICD-10 Coding Proficiency for Home Health: Coding Diabetes, Respiratory Diagnoses, and Aftercare - Part 2

After attending part one of this series, you should have a solid understanding of ICD-10 code conventions and structure and how they are affected by OASIS. In part two of this series, expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, will continue her deep dive analysis of common homecare diagnoses and train participants on the details of coding diabetes, respiratory diagnoses, and aftercare coding.

ICD-10 Coding Proficiency for Home Health: Coding Neurological Diagnoses, Circulatory Diagnoses, and Wounds - Part 3

In this 90-minute webcast, expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, will continue coding training by explaining how to code neurological diagnoses, including Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, and cerebral palsy. In addition to this, she will outline the official coding guidelines for diseases of the circulatory system. She will end part three of this series by discussing wound coding by type of wound.

ICD-10 Coding Proficiency for Home Health: Implementing an Action Plan - Part 4

To conclude this series, expert Joan L. Usher, BS, RHIA, COS-C, ACE, will discuss which ICD-10 codes are part of case-mix reimbursement along with a plan for agencies to follow to ensure coding proficiency. She will provide guidance on how agencies can assess what training is still needed and how to prepare an action plan to complete this training.
