OIG releases compliance videos for healthcare providers

Compliance Monitor, December 14, 2011

The OIG released the first of 11 planned video and audio presentations designed to educate healthcare providers on top compliance issues. The first podcast highlights OIG exclusion authorities, which are the legal means by which the OIG may prohibit certain individuals from participating in federal healthcare programs, according to a December 5 press release.

The videos cover a variety of healthcare fraud laws, common abuses, and what to do when a compliance issue arises. These presentations will be posted on the OIG website at the start of each week for the months of December, January, and February. These videos are part of the OIG’s Provider Compliance Training initiative.
