DOJ chases Medicare fraud suspects to Dominican Republic

It appears that the long arm of U.S. law can reach into the Caribbean.
 
FBI agents are searching the Dominican Republic for suspects alleged to have fraudulently received millions of dollars from the Medicare program, according to the Dominican Today newspaper.
 
The country’s Justice Minister, Radhamés Jiménez announced that he and his staff are aiding FBI officials in the search, but would not disclose any further details about the investigation, the paper reported.
