Joint Commission seeks pilot testers for sudden cardiac arrest measures

The Joint Commission has announced it is seeking organizations to act as pilot testers for draft performance measures for sudden cardiac arrest.

Applications for testers will take place until October 7, 2011. The data collection period will look at patients discharged between November 1, 2011 and April 30, 2012.

According to the official Joint Commission announcement, sudden cardiac arrest is the cause of 350,000 deaths every year in the United States.
